Rallies To End The U.S. Occupation of Iraq

I hate myself for forgetting to post a link to United For Peace & Justice earlier this week, since they are sponsoring marches and rallies all across America this weekend to mark the two year anniversary of the illegal and immoral occupation of Iraq, which has killed far too many of our brothers and sisters in the military, ordinary Iraqis who are still experiencing the "shock-and-awe" campaign (which despite what you may think has never been halted), and so many journalists from all corners of the world.

If you live in New York, this link will give you a wide range of events to choose from, everything from a march to a rally in Central Park sponsored by many labor unions to a multi-genre concert in midtown Manhattan at 8 pm Sunday night organized by Artists For Peace.

The Common Ills has posted a bunch of articles in the last week which detail some of the rallies being held in other states, go check it out if you want to support our troops by calling for them to come back home.
