Big Brass Alliance On CNN
As I mentioned a few days ago, I've joined the Big Brass Alliance, a collection of bloggers who have gathered together to support After Downing Street. "ADS is a coalition of veterans' groups, peace groups, and political activist groups, which launched on May 26, 2005, a campaign to urge the U.S. Congress to begin a formal investigation into whether President Bush has committed impeachable offenses in connection with the Iraq war."
The Big Brass Alliance was formed by Melissa McEwan of Shakespeare's Sister and Big Brass Blog.
On Tuesday, the Big Brass Alliance was briefly mentioned on CNN's "inside the BLOGS." Marie of The Right Left Story hooked us all up with a link to the video at Dem Bloggers: WMP link. It's right after the Mark Felt is "Deep Throat" blog coverage which, not-very-oddly enough, seems to be contained to the right-leaning blogs (but doesn't this guy feel a little stupid since the outing was confirmed later in the day by Woodward...on second thought...I doubt that guy feels much of anything).
The BBA currently stands at close to 200 blogs, but there's room for hundreds more bloggers to join...so don't be shy...just leave a note here if you'd like to join the blog swarm.
The Brad Blog has a must-read post which includes the complete text to a letter that Congressman John Conyers wrote President Donald Rumsfeld regarding the Downing Street [actually minutes] Memo: link.
I also have to give a shout out to my buddy, Tas, who wrote a great post yesterday, which includes a screenshot of the memo that former Secretary of the Treasury Paul O'Neill wrote on January 31, 2001 that mentions a "Political-Military Plan for Post-Saddam Iraq Crisis": Smokin'?.
I'd also like to thank FC's politics for compiling this list of the blogs that have joined the Big Brass Alliance, so far (many of the blogs are permalinked already on the right...and I also noticed that more than a few are also part of the Progressive Blogger Alliance, the first such effort I ever joined):

Finally - after breaking my personal record for number of links in one post - I'd like to apologize to the thirty-something bloggers who I owe links to. I haven't been in the mood lately to tackle my towering template but I promise to get to it before the All Star break, at the least. One of these days I'll also add blog SCREAM, "a news wire service featuring headlines from smaller, progressive blogs across the Internet" which was created by the friendly, blog-neighborhood Dark Wraith.
